This study aims to analyze the impacts of the Amazon Fund on the climate transition of the Legal Amazon from its establishment in 2008 to 2025. Specifically, it seeks to examine the concept of climate finance from a post-Keynesian perspective; map and characterize the Fund’s areas of activity during this period; and assess the alignment of funded projects with climate adaptation practices. Methodologically, a qualitative and exploratory approach was adopted, supported by documentary analysis and secondary data on the scope and activities of the Amazon Fund. The study concludes that the Amazon Fund has contributed not only to controlling deforestation in the Amazon but also to strengthening Amazonian communities and ecosystems, promoting climate mitigation and adaptation efforts, and establishing itself as an important instrument for the climate transition of the Legal Amazon. Nevertheless, the Fund has not provided direct support for projects specifically focused on climate adaptation.
