CFC-GS Climate Finance Tracker

About the Tracker

Track real-time data and updated analyses on climate finance. The CFC-GS Climate Finance Tracker offers a comprehensive, accessible, and reliable overview for public managers, decision-makers, researchers, and all segments of society committed to enhancing transparency and efficiency in the implementation of climate policies.

In this initial phase, the Tracker provides data sourced from the Climate Funds Update (CFU), which compiles information on pledges, deposits, and approved projects funded by multilateral climate finance mechanisms. These data include fund revenues, which may originate from donor countries, Certified Emission Reductions, investments, and even the private sector—varying according to the structure of each fund. The information is current as of January 2025.

Users can filter the data by climate finance themes and download Excel spreadsheets directly from the interactive dashboard.

Next Steps

The CFC-GS Climate Finance Tracker will be continuously updated to include new categories and funding sources, such as:

  • Bilateral public climate finance, provided by aid agencies and development banks from developed countries;

  • Multilateral public climate finance attributable to developed countries, provided by multilateral development banks and international climate funds;

  • Officially supported export credits related to climate, offered by export credit agencies from developed countries;

  • Private finance mobilized by these bilateral and multilateral public flows.

Visit the Tracker regularly to stay up to date with the latest developments!
