CFC-GS Climate Finance Tracker
About the Tracker
The CFC-GS Climate Finance Tracker is an interactive platform that compiles, organizes, and makes available updated data on global climate finance flows. Its goal is to enhance transparency, facilitate access to information, and support policymakers, public managers, researchers, and civil society in monitoring commitments and disbursements related to climate action.
The new version integrates two complementary data sources:
Climate Funds Update (CFU): enables tracking of pledges, deposits, and disbursements from major multilateral climate funds;
OECD/DAC (Recipient Perspective): covers the evolution of climate finance between 2000 and 2023, including bilateral, multilateral, and philanthropic flows, as well as different financial instruments.
With dynamic charts, filters by year, country, and climate objective, and the option to download complete datasets, the Tracker provides both an overview of resources and detailed project-level analysis. The databases include information such as provider type, financing modality, climate objective, values in current and constant 2023 USD, beneficiary sectors, as well as project identification and description.
The platform goes beyond displaying data: it highlights patterns, inequalities, and trends that support critical analysis and contribute to the strengthening of public policies aligned with climate justice.
The Tracker will be continuously updated, incorporating new datasets and features, in order to consolidate itself as a strategic tool for research, monitoring, and decision-making on global climate finance.
